Can we paddle anywhere?
In the UK, you need a license to paddle in most of the waterways, rivers, lakes, etc.
BCU membership (Canoe England, Canoe Wales, Scotland Canoe Association and the Canoe Association of Northern Ireland) includes a license to paddle on 5000km of Britain's waterways and canals.

Not all inland water is open to canoeists, some are privately owned or is bounded by land which is private, so do check beforehand. See Useful Websites page.

Spare frame pieces and brass fittings for various TYNE folding kayak / canoe models. The bulk of this stock listed here is new which was part of TYNE's (Twickenham) clear out when that factory was closed down in the 1970's. This unused left over stock had originally been purchased in bulk by some TYNE enthusiasts who then eventually sold the remaining leftovers to ourselves a few years ago. The bulk of the frame parts are for the TYNE Sports Double (17ft 2) with the cross ribs being of the latest design as of the time when the factory was closed down. This latest design is stronger (made out of a single piece of marine plywood) and omits the need to have the stringer pole seats fitted, whilst being backward compatible with the earlier Tyne Sport Double frame / skins. There are also some frame parts for other model TYNES that were in production at that time (for the Tyne Short Single seater 11ft 2, and possibly some for the TYNE Prefect. single seater 12ft 6). There are some frame pieces (not many) which we have not been able to identify as to which TYNE model they are for, therefore only measurements have been (or will be) listed. There is also stock of most of the various TYNE brass and aluminum fittings. We can also do replacement skins which are made to order - subject to your frame being in good condition! NB - the list below is by no means complete! (Project still ongoing to inventory and take photos of all available TYNE stock during this UK lock down time).
